I need some suggestions with two things that are bugging me right now at this point in my life..
1. This is the real reason why I am posting. Since we bought Ethan a toddler bed we are having a hard time getting him to take naps in it. Any suggestions? I know there are lots of you moms out there that have gone through this problem as well so any advice would be GREAT!! He needs his naps and is so cranky if he doesn't get them!!
2. I want to cut my hair. My kids play and pull on it way too much and it's been driving me crazy so do I make a drastic cut or keep it atleast shoulder length? And do I do the A-line cut or not? It seems to be the big thing in right now but I'm not sure it would look good on me. I really wanted to lose some more weight before I cut my hair but it's so annoying getting it pulled all day long!!
Please give me some shout outs!!

time well.. as for the first one.. I don't really know what to tell you! Ashlyn spoiled us big time on that one and started sleeping in it pretty much right away. Although.. today she wouldn't take a nap in the toddler bed untill like the sixth time of me going in and physically laying her down to sleep.
As for the second.. I wouldn't go much shorter than the shoulders just so that you can get used to shorter hair and not hate it right away!! I know when I do super drastic things.. I tend to hate it for a long time because I did too much at once! But maybe it's just me??
okay sorry about my comment starting with the time well.. I don't know what that was about! Ashlyn distracted me for a second and I obviously lost my train of thought and forgot to erase it!
I cut my hair shorter than my shoulders and I love it! For some reason, when I need a change, I just love to go with drastic changes on my hair. I say...do it!
Ash,
If you aren't sure you really want to cut your hair, just keep it up in really high pony tails- they are also in style right now, Just check out the Hollywood tabloids!! As far as Ethan andthe bed, you might have to just lock him in his room until he falls asleep wherever and place him in his bed after he is asleep. Then when he wakes up there, he will associate it with feeling calm and relaxed and happy. Good Luck! Aunt Viki
No clue about getting Ethan in his bed but I think your hair is gorgeous the way it is. However, since you are tired of getting it pulled on I think an A-line would be cute but go to a really great hairdresser and ask them what cut would flatter you the most. We love you guys!
I'm only going to give advice to the question that I'm able to answer. Pony tails are definitely a good way to go, especially with little kids, because whether it's short or not their going to pull on it. They see something dangling from your head and BAM!! they go for it. I think an A-line cut would be very cute on you though, but a longer cut, so the longest point would probably end up at your shoulders.
So I'll offer advice to your second question: Do something fun! If you're tired of your hair I would do something drastic unless you're too nervous. Yet after you to the mild change you will probably wish you made a bigger change. Nevertheless, make sure wherever you go... they're amazing so that way you can trust them!
So when we moved Ben to a toddler bed he did ok with naps. But he hit a point when he kept getting up. I read a book that has great advice on sleeping. "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child"
Basically it said to continue putting them back into bed, showing no emotion, and no talking. After about a week they will stay put.
Hope that helps, sorry if it is too late.
Get the book, it is a life saver.
