FrIdAy

Friday my kids wore their matching sweaters and I wanted to make sure I got pictures of them. You can't really see their sweaters too much but you can tell they were striped. I love it when they match. Ethan has the cutest little face in this picture and his eyes are just lit up! Aliana is growing so fast. I can't believe how much bigger she is already.
Friday evening we decided to go play basketball in Warden with the Kislers and we left Ethan with my parents so he could go to bed on time and I didn't know if I was going to play or not so it would be hard to chase him around. I was told at first by my brother that I shouldn't play because there were going to be lots of really good players, but the sisters talked me into it and went and got me some clothes to wear. I really do suck, but I wanted the exercise. I did, however, make a basket! Yeah for me! Aliana was asleep in her carseat pretty much the whole time. I kept checking on her, but for the most part she was quiet and let her mommy have some fun. I think if I could play more often it'd definitely improve my game. :) Haha.... It feels good to be more active now! I can't remember the last time I played any sport just for fun.
The hardest part that night was leaving Ethan. We got him distracted so he wouldn't cry and quietly snuck out. The whole time we drove to Warden I was so sad thinking about his cute little face looking around and realizing we weren't there, but my dad informed me that he did really well and at 9:30 PM he went and got his blanket and took it to my mom implying that he was ready for bed. Isn't that so cute? I told Roger that I want another one already! I think I must be crazy, but I just love my kids. They mean the world to me and I never thought you could actually feel this way about anyone, but it's incredible and I love it. I don't know how I'd go on day-to-day without my sweet kids around me everyone morning, all day, and all night. They are my pride and joy! :)

Eastern vs. Central

Taya Riner came to play yesterday! Her parents hung out with us while we watched them enjoy each other's company. We played Wizard, the men when to hit golf balls for a bit, played rockband, ordered pizza, and went out to my grandparents until 1:45 AM to play wizard. It was a day packed with loads of fun!

Taya can say a lot of words so we're really trying to get Ethan to start talking since she's three weeks younger than Ethan, but he still just acts like a stubborn little boy! I can say he's been making more attempts the last couple days.

Taya had the same sweatshirt as Ethan, but it says Central since her parents, Amber and Dane, go to school there. I wanted to get some pictures of them so they had fun trying to pose for me.

Taya did not want to look at the camera! This was the best picture I got of her alone!

Taya was trying to kiss Ethan but he wasn't too sure about that!

Bubbles, Mohawk, and a Haircut

Today was a big day for Ethan! We bought Ethan bubbles the other day, so I was blowing them on the hardwood floors at first and it was getting them wet. This made it difficult for him to walk on. He would slide to his butt or stomach, but never cried. Roger made me go in the other room and blow them over the carpet. I kept laughing so hard when he would slide. Roger took all of the pictures of the bubbles and the mohawk.

We love this outfit on Ethan!

This bubble picture is one of my favorites! I can't believe Roger caught it right over his eye!
Look at how long his hair was! When Roger made this mohawk I said, "We should really go get him a haircut!" So we did!!

What a stud!
The last picture before they chopped his hair! Roger held him on his lap.
When she first started cutting!
She had to give him suckers to try to get his attention on something besides the cutters!
He was such a good boy!
This hairstylist cuts Roger's hair too so she knew how Roger spiked his hair, so she spiked Ethan's hair up with gel!
All Grown Up! In the car on the ride home after he got his haircut! It's the shortest it's ever been, but I think he's so adorable!! And it makes him look even more like his daddy!

Tagged Again?

Well I guess I have to write another post about myself since I was tagged a couple times to write 7 facts about myself. The first one of these I did was hard enough! Now I have to come up with 7 different things!

1. I worry that I won't be a good mother. I know I'm trying my best but the world is so crazy these days and will only continue to get even more crazy that I worry that it won't matter how I raise my children something will seem like it might be my fault for not teaching them correctly. (I know that was probably a crazy sentence, but that's how my brain works sometimes!)

2. I hate when people put things in my face. It doesn't matter if it's food or a drink I want to do it myself. I have learned this the most recently because Roger has tried feeding me, giving me a drink out of a bottle, and showed me things right in my face the last week and it's really annoyed me!!

3. I get really emotional when I see shows/movies about kids that are hurt or have something wrong with them so it makes the parent hurt. I didn't used to be this way until I became a mother. It's crazy how much love you can have when it comes to your children. Yes love for your significant other is strong, but it's a different feeling with children!

4. Even though I love my kids I miss going out on the town with my girl friends. I mean I never have a friend call me up anymore to say, "Want to go grab a bite to eat and catch a movie?" Maybe it's because they know I have my hands full with two babies.

5. I love my grandparents. These last couple weeks since it's been different spring breaks for different colleges we've been hanging out and have called up my grandparents to go hang out at there place to play card games. Poppy joined in a couple times which made us really happy. Grandma is the one that always plays and we really enjoy playing with her (even if she does cheat..haha). Both of them are so special to me since they've been around almost all of my life (the almost part is only there because they served an 18 month mission in Buffalo, NY). I'll never forget living with them for a year when my dad went back to PA school. They were so helpful and I have come to appreciate them more now that we live back at my parents for the time being.

6. When I get angry I like to clean or exercise to try to relieve the pain. Yes it's weird but it can be relaxing to get things done when you are feeling down.

7. I love the fact that I will be with Roger for time and ALL eternity. I couldn't imagine not having him with me in heaven. He has been such a wonderful husband and father. The church has changed his life for the better and everyday I am reminded of what a good example he is. He is always going out with the missionaries. I hope that it helps others to realize they can have that eternal companionship that we have in this glorious church!

I tag whoever feels like writing some more facts about yourself! It's always fun!

Aliana's 2 month check-up

Aliana had her two month check-up last week and she is now 10 lbs. 10 oz. and 24 inches long. She is so stinkin' long! All of her outfits are so short on her but don't fit around her waist because she's so skinny. She is definitely growing well though!

Easter Stuff

I got the kids these cute outfits for Easter. I didn't get any pictures of them in them, but they looked so adorable and all grown up! I will post some pictures when they wear them again!

We had a good dinner with my grandparents and Roger's parents. After dinner we sat around and talked and ate the incredibly good cheesecake I made for dessert. That was the last dessert I'll have for a while. There is still plenty in the fridge but I'm dieting! Everyone has said enough so I know I need to lose weight. My dear husband however hasn't said one word and hates that so many people have said things, but I know I'm big. People don't have to tell me. It's harder now than ever before to not eat though because I'm constantly home with the kids! If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them!

On the way home..

When we went to Spokane two weekends ago we lost our camcorder and we thought for sure no one would return it if they found it. Roger even went in to the hotel we stayed at and they hadn't seen it. Just when we had completely lost hope they called on Tuesday and told us they found it in the parking garage. We are so lucky it didn't get run over. I videoed this on the way home!!

Ben got his MISSION CALL!!!

Ben got his mission call Friday afternoon. He reports to the Provo MTC June 18 to learn Spanish because he will be serving in the Buenas Aires Argentina West Mission. It is funny because my dad served in the Cordoba Argentina Mission and told Ben earlier last week that he hopes he goes to Argentina so they can go down there and revisit when Ben is done with his mission and he got his wish! I was excited to be there when Ben opened his mission call since I didn't get to be here when Robbie opened his. We called all the extended family and met at my grandparents for him to open it. I was standing behind his shoulder so I actually read it to myself right before he read it out loud. I was in tears. A mission is such an incredible thing and I am so blessed to have two brothers to be worthy to serve missions and even more blessed to be married to a return missionary. Not only do they learn a lot of life lessons but it makes them grow up and learn how to be more independent because they have to do things for themselves and not rely on others, instead they are the ones church members or investigators rely on. I know two years can be a long time, but just have two babies while a sibling is gone and it'll go by extremely fast! :) Haha..
I know this church is true and that it is an extremely important thing in all of our lives and I wouldn't know where to be in this world without it! I have so much to say on this topic that I could go on for days but I'll just simply state it at that.
The picture of Ben is one I quickly took one Sunday so that he could have it for his papers to be submitted.

What I wake up to everyday...

How could you not wake up happy when you see these smiling faces? Ethan got his clothes all dirty the other day so I took them off but left his socks and shoes on and he started running around playing with things so Roger snapped these pictures.

I tried to get her smiling but I just kept getting in between smiles.

I love this one! Look at those curls..
I like this one a lot because her face looks so pretty even though there are some shade spots that don't make the picture look as good.

So concerned!
